As u can see, lately there are lots of news about Microsoft , Yahoo and Google. The biggest hit of news is that Yahoo rejected Microsoft from taking over because Microsoft gave a low price that does not satisfy Yahoo. The reason of all this bidding is because Microsoft want to buy over Yahoo to compete against Google. As far as i know , if Yahoo accepted the offer, they need to lay of 1000 staffs to cut the cost down. Other than that, Yahoo`s share market will drop drastically if it merge with Microsoft to compete with Google.
Besides that , Microsoft is also facing free distribution of softwares among internet users. Lately , internet users are using free or even cheap softwares because the company like Microsoft is selling softwares at a very high price. Due to the high stakes of it , users intend to find freeware application through internet but not buying the software license.
As for Google, they are worried that Yahoo and Microsoft will merge and breakdown Google business. Without giving any chances , they even tried to sabotage the both party from merging to compete with Google. If Yahoo and Microsoft is merged together , Google will have to do some improvements but by doing so , the cost will be much more and the profits that they get will be even lesser and eventually causes the 'shares' price to drop.
